Our apt is hooked on this show. it was a slow start but i'll say that the concept is what kept me coming back. The obvious societal parallels are interesting enough and I always like to stay on top of any given Vampiric writer's canon.

Last week's episode was balls out. If this show keeps on this route it could be my new favourite show.



Everyone woman I know has a crazy crush on Vampire, Bill but as a straight guy I think i'd roll with Eric. He seems to know how to run things.



Lafayette's the real bad ass of the show though.

And does Jason remind anyone else of a young George W Bush?

I think a True Blood Illustration may be in order?

It's frikken killing me not to have HBO. This will be the show that makes me cave if I can't wait for the DVD. And yes, I prefer Eric to Bill.

I saw a pirated DVD of the opening show just before it was aired. I LOVED the concept and Anna Paquin is awesome. I wish I had cable!!!! I'm such a freak for vampire lore (I took a day off work next Friday to see Twilight in theatres).

Though I haven't seen any of the other episodes, the first was good and I LOVE the print advertising they've been releasing in magazines to promote it:

We don't have cable. we stream it. The pilot was a bit over the top as far as language and sexuality goes. They calmed it down a bit and focus more on character development. I can email you some links to the show if you're interested.

my friend and neighbor worked on the print ads ran :D

We're all in full vampire mode here. my roommate is reading twilight but I think its a bit too "tween" for my tastes.

Sookie's ok but she annoys the hell out of me far too often.

Ooh, I would LOVE to have links to it. I can't get enough.

The first few chapters of Twilight are awful but once you get into the romance and adventure, it's very good. I'm not so keen on the last two books in the series, but the first one sucked me in (pun intended).

The more bloodsuckers, the better!

I've watched most of them - there are still some episodes in the middle I need to catch myself up on, but yeah, I absolutely love this show.

Ahhhhh.. I can't wait until 5 so I can get off work, drive to my mom's and watch the eps I have missed (I don't have HBO, but my folks do + video on demand = my Friday night)

Where can you stream it online? I have looked and only found crap quality or with Japanese subtitles :/

flip yesh, this is one of my favorite shows as well!
and its trippy seeing the ERIC vamp because he was the main character in HBO's GENERATION KILL, which is a badass glimpse into the IRAQ war, with the search for Sadaam. i'd rather stick to sci-fi, but he was also great in that show, for he was one of the main marine characters.

I loooove this show. I have a huge crush on Bill. What doesn't stop blowing my mind is how HBO manages to take a whole bunch of d-list irrelevant actors and actresses, throw them into a television show, and they pull off tight, complicated plots with ease. In fact, maybe i'll go make a post abotu this now.

I just finished--I am officially hooked thanks to you! :P

Bill: His mannerisms are hot but his physical appeal comes and goes for me. Knowing he has an English accent in real life makes him hotter obviously. haha

Eric: His head is way smaller than his shoulders and that is really all I can pay attention to.

Rene: I love his accent. If I was really wealthy I would pay a person with that accent to talk to me all day.

Sam: I think he is the hottest and I would pick him. Plus he could turn into a cat so I could love on it and as soon as my allergies started to kick in--POOF, cat gone!


...but yeah. I like it :D
